Why Donald Trump Fails the Bible Test of Godly Leadership
A new voting guide shows what candidates would bring greater freedom, better jobs and stronger national security to the USA based on having God’s favor. According to the American Christian Voting Guide rankings, Mike Huckabee would bring the most blessings with an “A” grade for president. However, Donald Trump, Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton and several others are among the lowest rated with an “F” grade, for not truly fearing God.
Former Arkansas Gov. Huckabee is the only candidate to get an “A” to fix the mess in Washington and the nation. Getting a “B” grade is Rand Paul, followed by Ben Carson and Ted Cruz both graded with a “B-.”
The voting guide states that Huckabee is the strongest political candidate to make the USA great again, not Trump. The reason is that both Scripture and history reveal putting God first is what makes our nation great, not business deals.
Selection criteria are based on the following biblical qualifications for choosing leaders:
- Be a Christian who fears God.
- Call for Christian religious liberty.
- Insist on God-given rights.
- Be truthful.
- Hate covetousness.
Scriptures are provided to support the criteria and the founding fathers are shown to fulfill these qualities. For example, the founders put the Bible in schools, wrote the Declaration of Independence, and prayed in Jesus’ name and read the Bible as the first act of Congress.
