What Role Will Mike Huckabee Play in the Trump Administration?
According to multiple news reports, Hogan Gidley, a longtime aide to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, has confirmed that his boss is being considered for one of several possible posts in the Trump administration.
Some of the positions being floated to Huckabee include:
- Secretary of State
- Secretary of Health and Human Services
- Secretary of Transportation
The Associated Press has reported that former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is a favorite for Secretary of State. Others being considered for the post are former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) and former Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton.
Other reports state U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) is being considered for Secretary of Homeland Security, or for Secretary of Defense. Conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham is also reportedly being considered for White House press secretary.
