Are We in the Prophesied Fourth-Wave Revival of the End Times?

The days we are in remind me of the days of Haggai the prophet. There was great opposition to the work of God and rebuilding the temple. There was indifference and discouragement among the people. But the Lord stirred up His leaders and people to finish His work and promised the future would be more glorious than the past.

“And the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people. And they came and worked on the house of the Lord of Hosts their God” (Hag. 1:14).

To every struggling pastor, I would like to say: Don’t give up, and don’t quit. Keep building the house of the Lord. Don’t focus on church growth, buildings or money. Continually deflect all those cares to the Lord. Keep worshipping God and praying in the Spirit. Cultivate a positive outlook from the Word of God. Stop the criticism. Stop the complaining. Stop looking back on the “good ol’ days” when God was moving. Stop feeling crushed every time opposition comes. Instead, realize that God is stirring His leaders and His people as He did in the days of Haggai.

He is stirring them to keep building, keep loving, keep forgiving, keep praying, keep preaching and keep believing. Stop thinking that America is too far gone, that our youth are too far lost and indifferent and that there is no hope. Stop focusing on the antichrist spirit in our godless culture and what the devil is doing. Do not look to the temporal—look to the eternal. No matter what happens, the God of the truly righteous always wins.

“While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen” (2 Cor. 4:18a).

Faith sees the invisible and believes the impossible. The reason the people of God believe what He has spoken is that they have a different spirit.

Joshua and Caleb had a different spirit. They saw the same giants as the other spies, but they saw an even more gigantic God. But the majority couldn’t see God in it, and so their unbelief kept them from entering into the promised land. They forfeited their future. No amount of tears, prayers, sacrifices and human effort would ever allow them into the place God had originally prepared for them. They would wander 40 years in circles with the knowledge that they had rejected God and His promises.

I believe this is what’s at stake at this critical juncture in our nation’s existence. An entire generation could forfeit their future if they do not follow the faith of their true spiritual forefathers.

Unbelief, murmuring, complaining, rejecting God’s promises, rejecting God’s true leaders/prophets and those who preach the truth while listening to faithless liars caused an entire generation of Israelites to lose everything. Today, pastors and preachers who tell faithless lies from pulpits everywhere will have the blood of so many lost souls upon them.

The Final Hope for a Final Move of God

In 1939, just before World War II broke out, Smith Wigglesworth told a young Lester Sumrall of three waves, representing different moves of God, that he saw later in the 1900s. The first wave he saw was the healing revival of the 1940s and ’50s; then the second wave he saw was called “the Charismatic Renewal,” which crossed denominational lines when multitudes received the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Then he saw a third wave of teaching on faith and healing that was labeled the “Word of Faith” movement.

But then, suddenly, he prophesied of one more wave. “After that, after the third wave (this one is still in the future at this writing),” he sobbed.

“I see the last-days revival that’s going to usher in the precious fruit of the earth. It will be the greatest revival this world has ever seen! It’s going to be a wave of the gifts of the Spirit. The ministry gifts will be flowing on this Planet Earth. I see hospitals being emptied out, and they will bring the sick to churches where they allow the Holy Ghost to move …”

This is the fourth wave he saw, which is still in the future, but I believe it is at the door. I believe this wave is higher and greater than all the other waves Wigglesworth saw put together. This could be the final wave that gathers the final harvest of souls. This could actually be the wave that takes us onto the shores of heaven. Hallelujah! Glory to God!

I also believe America will be a main participant in this final wave and the massive ingathering of souls that still remains. Cheer up! God is not done with America. God is not done with His church in America. I believe she will arise from the tumult of the 2020s and complete her destiny. {eoa}
