New Settler Homes Constructed Bring Life to Biblical Homeland of Israel

With another election looming for Israel in March, the country’s government authorities announced plans to build some 800 new settler homes in the West Bank—the biblical homeland of the Jews in Judea and Samaria.

This move is significant, especially in light of all the strides the Trump administration took to encourage support of Israel, among them being Mike Pence becoming the first U.S. diplomat to visit an Israeli settlement.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office also announced the move would include 100 new homes in the community of Esther Horgan, an Israeli settler woman who Israeli authorities say was killed in a terror attack last month, CBN News reports.

A Tal Menashe resident said the new homes are a “suitable answer to the horrific murder” and the Israeli government hopes it will be a way to “add life.”
