Jerusalem’s Mayor to Join Christians for Global Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem
Bishop Robert Stearns, executive director of Eagles’ Wings and visionary of the Global Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem—which is joined by over 500,000 churches worldwide and viewed by millions through live broadcast on GOD TV—will take place on Oct. 6 at 4 p.m. live from Jerusalem at the Tayelet Haas Promenade.
This year’s keynote speaker is David Friedman, United States Ambassador to Israel. Also joining us will be the honorable Moshe Lion, mayor of Jerusalem, who will bring us greetings and welcome the global audience on behalf of the city of Jerusalem. Joining Ambassador Friedman and Mayor Lion will be several other major Jewish and Christian global leaders throughout the religious, business and governmental sectors.
Additionally, Stearns serves as president of the Israel Christian Nexus organization and will be hosting 66 influential evangelical pastors and leaders from the United States and Brazil for 10 days in Israel from Sept. 28 through Oct. 7, 2019. The trip has been designed to help educate these young significant leaders in the truth concerning Israel and the Jewish State.
The combined effect that this trip will have on the congregants and followers of these leaders via social media will number into the millions. Stearns has taken to date over 25,000 people to Israel and continues to re-shape Israel’s narrative in a positive way throughout the church worldwide.
The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem celebration will close out the Awake Jerusalem event, a three-day worship and prayer gathering where hundreds of Christians from over 20 different nations will assemble at key sites in Jerusalem for worship, teaching and prayer from Oct. 3-6.
