With Easter falling on April 12, 2020, LiveJam Foundation is hosting India’s largest online Easter this weekend. Easter at Home intends to spread the message of the gospel to the thousands who are facing unprecedented mental challenges and hopelessness on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. Easter at Home premieres on Facebook to potentially reach 1 million youth with the gospel on online platforms and satellite television in the middle of the global lockdown.

At present, India is one of the most persecuted and depressed nations of the world. This event is a pivotal moment in history where an innovative gospel model from India is available to resource the global church in times of crisis.

Hosted by Bonny Andrews, founder and CEO of Transform Cities, Easter at Home features leading Indian artists performing their original songs recorded specifically for the online event. The Facebook premiere will also have a gospel presentation by Dr. Benny Prasad, credited with designing the world’s first bongo guitar, who also holds the world record for being the fastest man ever to visit all 195 countries in the world.

“We’re living in a season where people are locked up at home and are feeling hopeless, depressed and probably suicidal,” Andrews says. “There’s never been a better time to gather as the global church in solidarity sharing the message of the gospel to encourage each other this Easter. Our goal is to connect with individuals who are struggling and need emotional support. This is in line with our efforts via our emotional support chatline, HereToHear, and the focus area of mental health via Transform Cities (transformcities.org).”

The Facebook premiere will be available on Friday, April 10, 2020, at 8:30 p.m. on the LiveJam Facebook page. {eoa}
