Hundreds of Rescued Sex Slaves Band Together to Battle ISIS

Some are as young as 17. Others are closer to their 40s. But when the Islamic State brutally captured these Yazidi women in 2014, they vowed that if set free, they would fight for the weak.

Now, the escaped women, known as the “Force of the Sun Ladies” joined hands with Kurdish forces to fight terrorism.

“Now we are defending ourselves from the evil; we are defending all the minorities in the region,” Capt. Khatoon Khider told FoxNews.com. “We will do whatever is asked of us.”

Two years ago, the Islamic State brutally captured these Yazidi women and forced them into sex slavery.

The terrorist group systematically separated young women and teenage girls from their families and has forced some of them to marry its fighters, according to a Human Rights Watch report. Interviewed victims said the group has also taken away boys and forced captives to convert to Islam.

“Women were throwing their children from the mountains and then jumping themselves because it was a faster way to die,” Khider recalled. “Our hands were all tied. We couldn’t do anything about it. Whenever a war wages, our women end up as the victims.”

But not anymore, for these women refuse to be victims any longer.
