Hillsong Worship Leader Gets ‘All Clear’ From Surgeon After Spending Morning Worshipping
Chelsea Lee Taylor, a Hillsong worship leader, was given an “all clear” from her surgeon on Tuesday, according to a friend’s Instagram post.
Emma Fellers, creative administrator at Hillsong Church, posted an update from Taylor’s mother, who said they received the “best news ever.”
“NO MORE SURGERIES… CHELSE GOT THE ALL CLEAR FROM THE SURGEON TODAY…. Praise our wonderful God,” Taylor’s mother wrote. “We spent the morning worshipping before she went to theatre and she can’t wait to share this with everyone… the kindness of God… and she is so so grateful! <3 She said to me this morning, mum, I can’t do this any more and we just prayed and put Bens song on, “see a victory” and then started worshipping. Sooo precious… <3″
Taylor was rushed to the hospital shortly after leading worship over two weeks ago. Doctors performed an immediate, nine-hour brain surgery.
Cassandra Langton posted the initial call to prayer, and many responded, including Brooke Ligertwood, Mack Brock, Bethel Music’s Jenn Johnson, “Oceans” songwriter Taya Gaukrodger, Steffany Gretzinger and Pastor Paula White Cain.
According to another of Fellers’ posts, Taylor’s surgery was for an aneurysm that was attached to a major artery. Doctors were initially concerned because Taylor had fluid in her lungs and body and her veins were collapsing. But with additional surgeries for those concerns, Taylor seems to be quickly improving.
Please keep praying as Taylor continues to heal. Post your comments of support and prayer below!
