Call to Pray for Election in Costa Rica Where Christian Singer Is Running for President
Easter morning an unprecedented opportunity is going to take place in Costa Rica.
While much of the world is celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Costa Rica will hold its final presidential election.
After a very controversial campaign, two candidates have emerged.
One is Carlos Alvarado Quesada who promises to keep Costa Rica on a course that is misaligned with godly values such as keeping same-sex marriage laws in place. The second candidate is Fabricio Alvarado, an evangelical Christian who promises to overturn all same-sex marriage laws currently in place, put a hiring freeze on big government and lead his country back to principles that honor God.
Today evangelicals make up 20 percent of Costa Rica’s population compared to a few decades ago, where evangelicals were only 3 percent of the population.
There are many who feel that evangelicals in politics are reshaping Central America into the new Bible Belt.
Friends, please pray for the Costa Rican election on Easter morning!
Costa Rica has the opportunity for its own resurrection on Resurrection day, how about that. {eoa}
