70,000 Witness UFO
In an astonishing turn of events, over 70,000 people claimed to witness an otherworldly phenomenon in Fatima, Portugal.
The incident allegedly occurred Oct. 13, 1917, when a large crowd gathered to witness a promised sign from an entity that had been appearing to three young children, Lucia, Francisco and Yasinta, since May of the same year, according to research by author, filmmaker and end-times expert L.A. Marzulli.

The witnesses, including the three children, reported seeing a mysterious object in the sky described by some as a dull silver disc and others claiming to have seen “flying hats,” performing intricate maneuvers before disappearing. The event is said to have been accompanied by unusual occurrences, such as exploding windshields, spontaneously combusting automobiles and even reported radiation burns on some attendees. The event took place in an era before the term “UFO” came into existence.
The account of the sighting comes from a filmmaker who claims to have extensively researched the original 1917 handwritten testimonies and photographs, disputing that the entity was the Virgin Mary. Reports from the time vary widely, some claiming the entity communicated telepathically with the children, providing them with food and drink.
“People have a right to believe what they want to believe,” Marzulli says.
It has been argued that the event has been misinterpreted over the years, emphasizing that the 1917 documents make no mention of Russia or the consecration of Russia to any sacred entity, contrary to later interpretations. The accounts vary from the traditional narrative surrounding the Fatima apparitions raising further questions about the nature of the event.
