TheCall Detroit Prayer Gathering Airing on GodTV
If you can’t travel to Detroit to join the thousands of believers who will be fasting and praying as they dare to believe America can turn back to God, you can at least join in spirit.
GodTV is broadcasting the 24-hour prayer event online.
Hosted by Lou Engle with prayer leaders from churches around Detroit, TheCall Detroit’s focus is on restoring hope in the face of racial tension, economic collapse and moral degradation. Tens of thousands of young people are expected to gather at the 70,000-seat stadium to fast and pray for America, repent and seek God’s will for the nation.
“God has chosen the place, where they say there is no hope, to be a staging ground for a great communal healing and His house of prayer for all nations,” says Engle. “We are calling the nation to a 24-hour solemn assembly, daring to believe that Detroit’s desperation can produce prayer that can change a nation.”
Christian leaders who participate in TheCall prayer rallies believe that America is in desperate need of the mercy of God and spiritual awakening. TheCall has committed to mobilizing people to gather together to petition God for that mercy.
“It is only through prayer and fasting that we will see revival come to America and the nations,” says Wendy Alec, GOD TV’s co-founder and director of television. “This weekend is a time for people everywhere to come together through the power of global television to consecrate themselves and cry out to the Lord to see spiritual breakthrough come to the USA as well as into their own lives and communities.”
The full 24-hour event will be available to Internet viewers at www.god.tv/liveevents starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, through 6 p.m. on Saturday.
