Man Caught on Video and Arrested for Throwing Molotov Cocktails at North Carolina Churches
Police have identified a man they arrested earlier this week who was caught on videotape throwing Molotov cocktails at two North Carolina churches.
Authorities arrested Terry Wayne Raeford, 57, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, on Monday and filed multiple charges against him. He has been jailed on $200,000 bond.
The first incident was reported at 10:37 a.m. Sunday at Grays Creek Church at 4750 Grays Creek Church Road in Hope Mills, North Carolina. Less than an hour later, another incident was reported at New Calvary Missionary church in Fayetteville.
Sunday night, sheriff’s deputies released a video of a man they said they wanted to identify as a suspect in the two incidents. At one of the churches, a man was seen on video getting out of a car with what appeared to be a bottle in his hand before throwing it toward the steps of a building.
There was a small fire near a sidewalk and patch of grass, according to the video that the sheriff’s office posted on Facebook. {eoa}
