Dr. James Dobson Stable After Horseback Riding Accident
Dr. James Dobson, an evangelical family psychologist who launched Focus on the Family radio in the 1970s, broke several bones after a horseback riding accident.
“His spirits are good at this early stage in his recovery,” said Dobson’s daughter, Danae. “He even ate a hamburger yesterday, just 24 hours after his accident.”
Danae thanked concerned supporters for the caring messages and prayers for her 75-year-old father. Dobson’s condition is stable and hospital reports reveal there is no internal bleeding or other complications.
“My dad will remain in the hospital a couple more days before returning home,” Danae said. “He will no doubt be in a lot of discomfort in the coming weeks, and would covet your continued prayers as he moves toward a full recovery.”
Dobson stepped away from Focus on the Family in 2010 to launch Family Talk.
