BREAKING: 1 Person Killed, Others Injured in Chicago Shooting
One person was killed and several others, including four police officers, were wounded in a shooting in the Aurora suburb of Chicago. The four injured officers are “stable,” according to Aurora spokesperson Clayton Muhammed, and hospitals are receiving the wounded. Police apprehended the shooter, whom they say is “no longer a threat.”

Schools in the area were on lockdown and police encouraged civilians to stay inside until the search for the shooter was over.
According to a tweet from the ABC7 Chicago team, the shooting broke out in an industrial building in the Chicago area.

NBC News identifies the site of the shooting as the Henry Pratt building, a manufacturing plant.
