Benny Hinn: ‘Absolutely No Heart Attack’
Evangelist Benny Hinn will be fine after doctors shocked his heart to reset the rhythm at 8 a.m. PDT today. The procedure worked, doctors say, and his heart is strong. In an exclusive interview from his hospital bed Hinn said he’s “turned the corner” and is feeling much better. “Today is the first day the sun is shining again.”
Hinn was rushed to the emergency room on March 20 after being exhausted from a huge crusade in Brazil. He was put into ICU and doctors said he had Afib. Someone tipped me off and I called Hinn and talked to him Monday and wrote the article we put online.
However, The Christian Post later reported online that Hinn had a heart attack which his doctor told me is not true. The family told me they to set the record straight. That’s why Hinn talked to me today and explained that while it wasn’t a heart attack, it was serious and could have been deadly had not his oldest daughter Jessica Hinn-Koulianos insisted he go to a heart specialist to find out why he was so weak.
Jessica, whose 33rd birthday is today, said the good news about her dad’s health is the best present she could have received.
One of Hinn’s doctors confirmed to me there was no heart attack and that his heart is beating regularly. After many tests, it was discovered Hinn’s heart is strong and free of plaque.
This resulted, Hinn said, in his body filling with fluids. He didn’t know it, but his organs were beginning to shut down. The doctor took one look at him in his office and called an ambulance to rush him to a nearby hospital. There Hinn said he heard one of the nurses yelling to another nurse that she was trying to “save his life.”
Thankfully he got to the hospital in time. The doctors were able to stabilize him, diagnose the problem and get his heart beating with the right rhythm again.
“So today’s a good day. We turned a corner and even the doctor said we’re out of the critical stage now,” she told me by phone. “They’re going to send him home to rest. Today was a good day. I told him God answered all our prayers.”
