Taxpayers Unknowingly Pay Money They Don’t Owe
More than 25 million taxpayers are faced with the terrifying prospect of audits and assessments during tax season by the Internal Revenue Service.
But is there a way to file without fear? Tax expert Daniel Pilla says, “Yes.”
As Americans scramble to file before the April 17 tax deadline, millions will inevitably pay an untold billions of dollars back to the government.
And Pilla claims this is money that, surprisingly, many taxpayers may not even owe.
Pilla said the federal government often looks to the IRS as a first line of attack in balancing the budget.
“You take all 20,000 pages of the tax code and you can boil it down to three words: get the money,” he told CBN News.
The tax litigation consultant added that, in addition to what many view as unfair taxation, well over 25 million taxpayers will also be mistakenly audited this year alone.
Add confusing laws, costly penalties and excessively high interest rates, and the result: millions of Americans drowning in debt and afraid to answer the next knock at the door.
In his book, How to Get Tax Amnesty, Pilla unlocks the taxpayer’s rights buried deep in the tax code, offering liberation from tax debt to Americans.
