How the Teachings of Reinhard Bonnke, Peter Wagner, Pat Robertson, Jack Hayford Are Going Worldwide
The International School of Ministry is taking some of today’s strongest faith-based content and distributing it around the globe.
“My desire in creating ISOM was to say, why can’t we capture these great teachers and put them into a Bible curriculum and translated into languages of the nations and do what The Jesus Film did for evangelism,” Dr. Berin Gilfillan said on a recent episode of “Charisma Connection” on the Charisma Podcast Network.
“Right now, ISOM is in well over 150 nations and there are over 20,000 training sites that use our ISOM curriculum. We estimate that’s probably between 350,000 and 400,000 students that are being trained or have been trained with the program, and that’s very conservative because many of the countries we work in, people are persecuted for their belief in Christ. We know those numbers are just a drop on the top of the surface of the people that are actually being impacted.”
Gilfillan says the curriculum, which includes teachings from Reinhard Bonnke, Peter Wagner, Pat Robertson, Jack Hayford and others, is beginning to make its way into the remotest parts of the world and is being distributed through SD microchips, DVDs, CDs and the Internet, among other formats.
“My burden was for newly saved. My question was who is going to help shepherd these new souls and who’s going to bring them to maturity,” says Gilfillan, who has worked directly with Bonnke, Wagner and Robertson in the past. “The reason I stepped away from the mission field was to study leadership development and then to eventually create a video Bible school that could help pastors disciple these new converts.
“We’re using the best teaching in the world from the greatest people we could find, and now we have the ability to impact people even in persecuted countries that you never even know about. When these people are brought to maturity, then they will impact others, and those people will impact others, and so on.”
