Pastors Mike and Julie Signorelli both gave their thoughts on the top 10 Googled questions about relationships. One of those dealt with the issue of a toxic relationship. Julie says she and Mike went through a toxic period in their own marriage.

“We were in a toxic marriage; you can be married and be in a toxic relationship, and we are proof that you can overcome that,” Julie says. “It doesn’t always have to be a wreck. We were in a cycle where we would fight every day. We would work Monday through Friday and fight every night. Maybe we would get along by Sunday, but every Saturday, we fought all day. There were tons of toxic things that were happening.”


However, counseling, the Word, godly community and the Holy Spirit helped them revive their marriage, Julie says on the V1 Church podcast on the Charisma Podcast Network.

“There is hope for you,” Julie says. “We were in groups that helped us get through our marriage. It is possible you can change. It doesn’t always have to be toxic, but it’s a lot of work.”
