Pastor Ed Young Asks Dallas Cowboys’ Tony Romo a Seriously Pointed Question

Dallas Cowboys’ Tony Romo grew up in the church, but it wasn’t until college that he truly felt the spiritual tug.

“I grew up in the church a little bit, in a Sunday school. But I had never known like, how to give yourself over to the Lord,” Romo says. “You could say, I never thought deeply about it than just Sunday schools, churches. And Jesus was Santa in some ways.”

Later, Romo learned how to give his life over to God—something pastor Ed Young paralleled with the quarterback’s professional life. It’s also how Romo deals with the haters.

“Whether they say good or bad thing, it actually doesn’t affect my life, … It’s not going to define you unless you allow it to,” Romo says.

Take a look to see what we mean.
