The Sign of the Devil Has Appeared in New York City
Sometimes people do things that have extreme spiritual significance without even realizing it. When I watched Jonathan Cahn’s latest video on Tuesday, I knew that I had to write about what just happened in New York City. From June 16th through June 19th, a 270 foot dragon was wrapped around the Empire State Building. In addition, giant banners that featured dragons with the ominous message “All Must Choose” were draped over iconic landmarks all over the Big Apple, and restaurants throughout the city were featuring dragon-themed menu items. All of this was being done to promote the second season of “House of the Dragon,” and those behind this campaign probably did not intend to deliver any sort of a spiritual message. But as Jonathan Cahn correctly observed in his new video, there are times when people do things that are highly symbolic without even understanding the true significance of their actions.

How Should We Process the Robert Morris Scandal?
Gateway Church in Dallas is the ninth-largest church in the U.S., with more than 25,000 members. But the church has been reeling since June 18, when Pastor Robert Morris, 62, resigned after admitting to sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl during his early years as a youth evangelist.
Some of Gateway’s elders have now resigned as well. Leaders who are still there say the allegations blindsided them. They knew Morris had admitted to a moral failure 35 years ago while at a different church. But he had told people he had inappropriate contact with “a young lady,” and that he had stepped down from ministry for two years to receive rehabilitation.
But the “young lady,” Cindy Clemishire, now a grandmother, says she was a young girl when Morris began a sexual relationship with her when he visited her parents’ home in Oklahoma while preaching in youth revivals. When she reached out to Morris in 2005 to ask for restitution after years of abuse, he said in an email to her that she could face criminal charges for exposing him.
Prophetic Leaders Condemn Mounting Megachurch Scandals
The Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders has created a joint statement condemning the recent scandals that have been pouring out of large Christian establishments.
In a video, Jennifer LeClaire shared the statement with viewers, explaining how this is likely just the beginning of God cleaning house. “We have crafted a joint statement regarding what’s going on in the midst of the continued church scandals, and unfortunately, there’s more to come,” LeClaire says. Pointing out the issues surrounding T.D. Jakes, Mike Bickle, Tony Evans and Robert Morris, LeClaire reminds viewers that judgment always begins in the house of God.
