How the Enemy Uses Deception to Trap You
By its very nature, deception is a condition that is undetected by the victim. This means any one of us can be deceived and not recognize it.
This is something I’ve experienced firsthand. Even being commendably bright and well educated, when my life came to a point of crisis, I was forced to realize all that I believed—all that I’d based my life upon—was false. That’s not to say everything I believed was 100% a lie. Rather there was enough truth in what I believed to make it convincing. However, whenever the whole truth is tainted with the smallest portion of lies, it is no longer truth.
What we believe—what we trust as truth—is the bedrock of our faith. What we believe to be truth, whether it is or not, directly impacts our faith. If our faith is faulty, it will be revealed for what it is when it is challenged.
As I’ve said before, faith is a lot like automobile insurance. It must be fully in place before there’s a collision. Seeking to purchase auto insurance after an accident does no good.
