How God Is Hovering Over His Children in This Chaotic Time
It’s been three months without meeting, and our church was able to get back together in person for the first time. I started pressing in and asking God, “What do You want to say?”
It was actually a tough question. Because I began to think about the season that we’re in and one, we haven’t seen each other for three months and everyone’s excited, and we get to worship together again. It’s going to be amazing. It feels like we should have this explosive time.
But on the other hand, we’re living in this pandemic, and people are dealing with the reality of the economic downturn that’s going on at the same time. Something like that feels very different. And then on top of that, all the racial tension and all that’s been brought up to the surface, the awareness of our nation at this time. And that definitely feels very different.
So, God, what are You doing in this season? And the response I got wasn’t actually a message. What I got was an emotion. God simply said, “I’m gathering My children together, and I’m brooding over them. I’m hovering.” Your Father is hovering over you right now in a really beautiful way.
And when He hovers over you, healing happens. Restoration happens. But then so do God-inspired ideas happen. So does new thoughts. So does new breakthrough. So does new anointing. So do the new dreams and new vision.
Things that are meant to make the world stand up and take notice. Things that are meant to make the world say, “We’re going backward, but you’re going forward. We’re afraid. And you’re full of hope. We’re dwindling, and you’re abounding in life.”
This is what God wants to release to you and me right now in Jesus’ name.
