Ex-Witch: I Called on the Goddess for Witchcraft Wisdom, but I Couldn’t Run From God
Ally Tower tried Christianity, but it didn’t rescue her from her pain-filled life. So one night while she was washing dishes, she felt the full moon draw her outside.
“I called on the goddess,” she says. “I asked for the wisdom of witchcraft. … I went inside, and my kids even said, ‘Mommy, why is your face glowing?'”
Tower spent 10 years training in the arts of Wicca. But one day, her former pastor invited her to church to hear an ex-occultist speak.
“It was the last place I wanted to be,” Tower says. “At the same time, I wanted to prove ‘Well, God’s not going to do anything because I’m going to be at a ritual tonight.’ … As soon as I came in and sat down, I started to cry. I had no clue why because, to me, everything was perfect in my life and I was happy, and I had no reason to be upset. But I just cried throughout the whole first part of the service, all through worship.”
When the service ended, the ex-occultist and several from the prayer team came and talked with Tower. They began praying over the demons in her, but Tower didn’t want those demons to leave.
Finally, she had enough and walked out of the church—only to realize she had forgotten her purse.
“So I went back in,” she says. “And the pastor was standing there. And the only thing he said to me was, ‘You can’t run from God.'”
When she heard those words, Tower did something she never thought she would do. Listen to the podcast to find out what happened.
