‘Breakthrough’ Song Nominated for an Academy Award
A song from the movie Breakthrough has been nominated for the Academy Awards’ “Best Original Song.”

Breakthrough features the true story of John Smith, who came back to life after drowning in an icy lake. After an hour of John being dead, his mother, Joyce Smith, prayed for the Holy Spirit to raise her son from the dead. The way John and Joyce tell the story, John’s heart began beating immediately after his mother’s prayer.
In October, Breakthrough won “Inspirational Film of the Year” at the 50th GMA Dove Awards.
