Feucht, Karuku Prepare for ‘Let Us Worship’ Rally in Washington, D.C.

Eleven cities in 10 days—and counting. The tour of “Let Us Worship” services sweeping through America is building to a Sunday, Oct. 25, event at the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

“And it all leads up to this. The nation’s capital—Washington, D.C., the epicenter of government that affects every nation on the earth,” said Sean Feucht, the California-based worship leader who launched Let Us Worship after Gov. Gavin Newsom banned worship in church.

Feucht’s words open a video previewing the national event. He invites everyone to travel to the mall to worship, pray and break spiritual strongholds over America. It’s one of multiple Christian events in the next six weeks calling people to gather, pray and repent—all in preparation for the Nov. 3 presidential election.

“We are trusting God that two weeks before the election, we will see a shift in the direction America is heading to a direction that honors God,” said Dr. Charles Karuku, founder and president of the Institute of Leadership and Mentorship and pastor of International Outreach Church in Burnsville, Minnesota.

Karuku is traveling with Feucht and ministering at the worship services. The two men met in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the corner where George Floyd was murdered May 25. They had both traveled there in the wake of rioting to bring healing through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

Since beginning in July, Let Us Worship has made national headlines. Social media platforms are abuzz with videos, photos and testimonies of lives being changed. People of all ages, ethnic origins and socioeconomic status are being saved, baptized, healed and encouraged.

Feucht, Karuku and the band have briefly paused the worship events until Oct. 2, when they will gather with the people of Fort Worth, Texas. Throughout October, the event will travel through Texas and onto Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Missouri and Pennsylvania before the event in D.C. “On Oct. 25, thousands will converge on this city for a holy gathering that will be the tipping point for revival in America,” Feucht said. “We are coming with our songs. We are coming with our prayers, and we are coming with a dream that this could be the greatest hour of revival in the history of our nation.”

While the event is about to take a national focus, organizers continue the original mission: to spark unity, to heal people and their hurting country.

Witnessing the Unity

When local resident Joshua Buchanan arrived at the Orlando, Florida event Sept. 19, the music was playing and people were worshipping in what grew from a light mist to full rain. Yet hands and voices were raised. Smiles and tears were expressed. Hugs shared.

“I was so impacted by everybody’s courage to step out and join together during this pandemic,” Buchanan said, noting that the people gathered were from different churches, varying ages and nationalities. “Everyone was just worshipping the Lord.”

As people openly shared their testimonies, Buchanan witnessed a man admit that he felt like a hypocrite because he had been using drugs for seven months. He committed to quit. A former prostitute testified that she had been delivered of that lifestyle and began praying for people struggling with it.

Pastor Michael Mauldin testified of a friend who is a former drag queen in Texas. He was delivered and walked away from that life. He addressed people who were struggling with same-sex attraction, many whom had grown up in the church. He apologized for how the church has treated them and asked them to come forward for an embrace and prayer.

“It was just so unified,” Buchanan added.

Each city sees similar results. And the culmination is coming.

“We are trusting God for a breakthrough,” Karuku said. “America will not be saved by a president or a party or a politician. Jesus is the only answer. Revival is the only solution for this country.” {eoa}
