How This Ministry Helps Stop the ‘Bamboozling’ of the Church

One of the darkest areas of our nation has been the hallways and back rooms of our government offices. In recent years, all across our nation, at the city, state and national levels, there have been intercessors and “musicianaries” who have devoted countless hours to hosting the presence of Jesus through praise, prayer and proclamation inside and next to governmental buildings.

The term “musicianary” might be new to you, and if so, welcome to a whole new revelation of what it looks like to be missional! A musicianary represents the convergence of music, prayer and missions. Traditionally, we have understood missions to look like a person sensing an evangelistic call upon their life and respond by going to other nations or unreached people, living, praying and sharing the gospel. Musicianaries in no way discredit traditional missions but are an added level of understanding as to “how” we do missional work.

God promises to inhabit our praises. When we worship with praise and adoration unto Him, the atmosphere around us shifts because the worship shifts principalities in the air. When we lift up Jesus over the principalities of a region, they fall!

Ruth Mizell is an intercessor in Washington, D.C., who is now in her 90s. She has faithfully prayed in our nation’s capital for decades. Ruth believes the most important thing happening in America today is David’s Tent, D.C., because worship is ascending from David’s Tent into the heavens to the Lord, and the worship descending into the ground is what will recalibrate America’s heart back to God.

Positioned on the National Mall, David’s Tent has been standing in the gap with perpetual worship since Sept. 11, 2015. With no end date, intercessors and worshippers are invited to join the song on the mall.

Cindy Mathew of Throne Room Ministries International spent three months of the COVID-19 lockdown season in D.C. at David’s Tent. In this episode of Booth To Ballot, hear what Cindy and others heard from the Lord during those months. “The church has been bamboozled, thrown into a state of confusion or bewilderment especially by being deliberately fooled or misled.

“When do we live in the authority that the Lord gave us? We either have power over it or we don’t. It’s obvious the church doesn’t, or we wouldn’t be in fear saying we can’t meet and not standing up.”
