How Christian Students Can Travel to Israel Without Breaking the Bank
Scott Phillips has been praying for Israel since he was 5 years old. His mother, a committed Christian, helped instill in him a burden and love for Israel even as a young boy.
But as an adult, Phillips never imagined God would lead him one day to become executive director of Passages, a company that takes Christian students to Israel.
That transition started when he and a fellow believer noticed that while many Christians got to visit Israel as adults, fewer young adults had that same opportunity.
“There was no organized way for young Christians to be able to come to Israel … in a way that was financially feasible and in a way that would catch their attention,” Phillips says on the “Charisma News” podcast. “So I knew that I had to be a part of this new organization that was starting up to be able to bring young Christians to the Holy Land. And I came on board as executive director in 2015, and then Passages officially launched in early 2016. I haven’t looked back since.”
Phillips says Passages offers something unique to students in that not only is the trip financially affordable, but the organization also provides cultural, spiritual and leadership lessons that students can apply when they come back home.
