How a Middle-School Girl’s Prayers Rescued a Teenager Entrenched in the Occult
Heath Adamson loves to serve Jesus and has a powerful ministry through Convoy of Hope, but when he was just a preschooler, he began experimenting with the spiritual realm. By the time he was a teenager, he was mired in the occult. What started as child’s play turned into full-fledged witchcraft.
“Once I watched a candle float off of a coffee table,” he says. “I decided I wanted to engage in conversation with maybe some of those spiritual realities behind the scenes. So that’s when it really began to get dark. I remember watching a table scoot across the basement floor once. I remember having conversations with demons.”
But one girl Adamson met in middle school saw him and felt God’s heart for him. In that moment, she decided to obey God and pray for Adamson.
“She sensed a whisper in her heart,” he says. “Some of the loudest voices have no volume. It was not audible, but it was a subtle whisper of the Holy Spirit. [He] whispered to her, ‘Pray for that young boy. You’re going to marry him one day, and I have a call on his life.'”
Adamson and the girl eventually parted ways, but God still had His agenda in mind. Listen to the podcast to discover the miraculous way God got hold of Adamson’s heart.
