Would You Claim a Dead Baby With No Name?
Linda Znachko cradled the casket that held Baby Blake as she prepared for his funeral on the International Day of the Unborn Child.
Znachko runs He Knows Your Name, a unique ministry that allows her to claim infants who were stillborn or abandoned when they died.
“I’m always looking for a legacy of life, because even a baby that I never met and didn’t know much about, it just always amazes me that the supernatural is on them because they are children of God,” Znachko says.
“This day is going to be a way for me to have this message on this child’s life. There’s no better day to celebrate life than on the Day of the Unborn Child,” Znachko says.
When she claims the children, Znachko gives them a name and tombstone, honoring each life as she feels the Lord would, consecrating these children to him.
“We as the children of God are the fingerprint of God,” she says. “The image of God is on each and every one of us. And the Bible tells us in so many places that God summons us by name. The book of Isaiah says it in several places, and when He summons us by name, He bestows upon us the title of honor, so the name over us is our identity, and I find that very significant and sacred.”
