Evangelist Identifies the No. 1 Spirit Taking Over California
In The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies, Bard the Bowman is the only man who can kill the dragon, Smaug.
Smaug only has one weakness: a missing scale along his side.
Bard’s son desperately wants to help his father kill Smaug.
As the dragon taunts the son, Bard asks his son to face him and maintain eye contact.
“A little to the left,” Bard says, as he balances his arrow on his son’s shoulder to take down the enemy.
The son locks eyes with the father and moves a little to the left. The arrow flies.
The dragon roars as his life ends. The enemy is dead, all because the son kept his eyes on the father.
This is exactly what’s happening in California, evangelist Mattie Montgomery says.
And the Holy Spirit is about to make a move through The Altar Conference, scheduled for April 5-6 in Fresno, California.
“We are having people come together to stand as a family and declare from right in the middle of one of the most liberal states in the country, in California, to declare that Jesus is Lord in our nation, Lord in California, Lord in our generation, and to just really to encounter Him, to exalt Him in the place of worship and to show the world what a unified church can really look like,” Montgomery says.
Montgomery, along with Oakland Raiders’ Derek Carr, Francis Chan, Heidi Baker, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Steffany Gretzinger and more are all on the lineup for the worship event meant to ignite a new breed of evangelism breaking out in Fresno to be spread around the globe.
And while many believers may label California as a hostile state controlled by evil principalities, Montgomery says he believes the Holy Spirit is taking over the area—if we as God’s children keep our eyes locked on His strategy and not the enemy’s (hence Montgomery’s Lord of the Rings illustration).
