Teen Shot While Praying: ‘God Is Still Great’

A 17-year-old girl is recovering after being shot while she was praying at home.

Now, as she looks at the bullet hole in her bedroom wall, Kimberly Mendoza feels grateful, because she knows God is “taking care of me,” she told KTRK-TV.

“I feel great because I know that God is still great and He’s taking care of me,” Mendoza said. “I know my faith, everybody can laugh at me. Everybody can say, ‘You’re a Christian, you’re so weird,’ something like that. But I feel good because God is working for me and I love God and I know if I die, I’m good because I can go to heaven with him.” {eoa}
