See What God Sees
A God-given vision for people exceeds any vision for a product or process.
Spend time early in a working relationship to discover the gifts of the human assets God sends your way.
We must fight the tendency to label teammates based on perceptions. Let everyone join in reindeer games and watch the red-nosed one perform at previously unknown levels. Resist the easy path of exclusion. Decide to be inclusive.
God assigns human assets to good stewards. We are accountable for the development of our people just as we are any other resource.
As Jesus ministered, he saw what people could become. He was certainly aware of their condition, but He spoke into their future.
Leaders will often find teammates in various stages of disrepair. How we find a person is not relevant. What matters most is how we move people forward to their “time such as that.” Perfume is a powerful change agent.
We all need to be heard. But we also need to be seen as Jesus sees us.
“He said, ‘I do not know if He is a sinner. I know one thing: I was blind, but now I see'” (John 9:25).
