Activist Musicians Issue a Prophetic Challenge to American Church

Share:

Christian rock band Remedy Drive has spent several years fighting on behalf of human trafficking victims. In “Warlike,” the band channels Old Testament prophets, expressing righteous anger at the American church’s refusal to take global injustice seriously—which grieves the Spirit. At one point, lead singer David Zach challenges, “You can’t take the prophets out of context / You can’t love mercy if you love conquest.”
