Mike Pence: The American People Have ‘Absolute Proof’ of Hillary Clinton’s Corruption
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, the Republican vice presidential nominee, has stepped into his role as the campaign’s “attack dog” by unleashing a brutal rebuke of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and the growing scandals that surround her.
He started off by noting the #DNCLeak scandal and the FBI’s announcement of a criminal investigation.
“The FBI will get to the bottom of who is behind the hacking,” he said. “If it is Russia and they are interfering in our elections, I can assure you both parties and the United States government will ensure there are serious consequences.”
But, Pence didn’t stop there. He then proceeded to unload on the Democratic Party’s focus on who leaked the emails, rather than the contents of those emails. He called the hypocrisy of the situation “outrageous.”
“[T]he Democrats singularly focusing on who might be behind [the leak] and not addressing the basic fact that they’ve been exposed as a party who not only rigs the government, but rigs elections while literally accepting cash for federal appointments is outrageous,” he said. “The American people now have absolute and further proof of the corruption that exists around Hillary Clinton. It should disqualify her from office, if the media did their job.”
