BREAKING NEWS: After Stroke, Jan Crouch Draws Strength From the Promise of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

After a life-threatening stroke from which it has been reported recovery is “unlikely,” TBN Co-Founder Jan Crouch is leaning on a familiar comforting scripture, an official TBN statement said late Saturday.

“As she has throughout her entire life, Jan continues to place her trust in God, and draws strength from the promise of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4:

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

Crouch, 78, has been hospitalized in Orlando, Florida, since Wednesday since suffering the stroke. With family by her side, Crouch is “resting comfortably as her physicians and family care for her.”

On Saturday, Christian recording artist Carman, who has had a friendship with the Crouch family for 40 years, said this on Facebook:

“The official word is out … and after careful medical evaluation recovery of any kind is unlikely.”

Crouch’s sons, Paul Jr. and Matt, have petitioned the community of believers for prayer for their mother through Facebook.

Crouch and her husband, the late Paul Crouch, founded the Trinity Broadcasting Network in 1973. She produced multiple television programs including Praise The LordThe Glory of America and Say Yes. Paul Crouch passed away in 2013.
