Will Christians Go Through the Great Tribulation of God or Not?

Share:

The problem with Americanized Christianity is faith-filled people believe they are exempt from the trials and tribulations of following God, Pastor David Lankford says.

But one look at the Middle East—where believers are set on fire, beheaded, tortured, shot and electrocuted—reveals Christians continuously undergo harsh treatment for their faith.

Over and over in the Scriptures—John 13, Acts 14—Christ tells us we will experience pain, yet the Western church has created a philosophy that encourages believers to think they will be raptured, or taken up to heaven, before the real pain starts.

“We have been told the Great Tribulation includes the wrath of God,” Lankford tells televangelist Jim Bakker. “That is not true.”
