Son Says This President Would Be ‘Appalled’ by Donald Trump
Former talk radio host Michael Reagan has been a ardent and vocal champion of his late father’s legacy as a former President of the United States.
And when Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump invokes Ronald Reagan’s memory, it apparently makes Michael Reagan’s blood boil. And in his most recent “Reagan Reports for America” email, he unloaded.
“I think he would look at all the years he put in, the things he accomplished, and worry about seeing all those things turned upside down,” he said, referencing an interview he had on the MSNBC Morning Joe program. “He really cared about this country, and he didn’t like the name-calling, he didn’t like the personal attacks.”
Reagan also acknowledged it’s not the first time he has been critical of Trump. He repeated a recent social media post, in which he said, “[If] Ronald Reagan was anything like Donald Trump, Nancy Reagan would never have married him.”
Michael Reagan is the adopted son of the former president and his first wife, actress Jane Wyman.
