Ted Cruz Got Great News From One of the States Voting Tuesday

It’s hard to argue that Gov. Phil Bryant isn’t one of the most popular elected officials in the Magnolia State.

He was sworn in for his second term as Mississippi’s 64th governor on Jan. 12 after being re-elected with 67 percent of the vote. And Monday night, on the eve of the Mississippi Primary, his all-important endorsement went to U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

“It’s time for Republicans to join together and unite the party for the good of our state and our nation,” Bryant said. “I urge my fellow Mississippians to join me in standing behind Ted Cruz tomorrow.”

The Texas senator said he was “honored” to have the governor’s support. He urged conservatives in Mississippi and across the United States to get behind his campaign.

“The people of Mississippi are fed up with the dysfunction in Washington and know this is the time for courageous conservatives to unite,” he said.
