Why Millennials Are Narcissistic

Share:

A recent college sermon outraged some at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, perplexing members of the older generation.

The effects rippled through the country, with University President Everett Piper penning a blog calling out millennials.

“Our culture has actually taught kids to be this self-absorbed and narcissistic,” Piper wrote.

Students were reportedly feeling “victimized” by the sermon about love.

Instead of rising to the challenge of conviction, today’s generation appears to want to shut down anything they deem offensive, Piper added.

“I wonder if anyone has heard of a conscience,” Jim Bakker says.

Bakker then quotes Piper’s blog: “The goal of many good sermons is to get you to confess your sins—not coddle you in your selfishness.”

Charisma founder and CEO Steve Strang agrees.

“Sermons are supposed to make you uncomfortable,” Strang says.

Is there hope for this generation? Watch the video to see.
