Vandals Probably Didn’t Expect This Response After Attacking Prayer Chapel

Oklahoma City’s Heartland Chapel was first targeted in the legendary bombings 20 years ago.

In the decades since, pastors and volunteers have been rebuilding emotionally and physically only to have their tiny chapel vandalized time and time again.

“In a place of prayer, you just wouldn’t anticipate that people would come with evil intent or anger that they would take out on the church,” Pastor Mark McAdow tells KFOR

Despite the toll taken on this historic chapel, the pastor’s heart is open, as is the heart of the head of security, Michael Davis.

“Your initial reaction is you want to be mad, but if you just take a few seconds to try and see it through their eyes and their hearts. You know these kids are angry and their hearts are hurting,” Davis says.
