Are Christians doing to gays in the church what slave masters did to Africans?
According to House of Hope’s E. Dewey Smith, yes. He says Christians are publicly antagonizing the Supreme Court for their ruling to overturn bans on gay marriage, but are turning a blind eye to gays in the church.
“You are guilty of condemning the Supreme Court System and preaching against something, but if you look at half of our choirs and a great number of our artists, we call abominations, we call demons, we demonize and dehumanize the same people that we use,” Smith says. “We don’t say nothing about the gay choir director because he’s good for business.”
