Pentecostal Leader, Former Israeli General to be Honored At Prayer Breakfast
Leaders of the Jewish and Christian communities will gather at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. to celebrate Jerusalem and to honor two great men, Pastor Jack W. Hayford and Israeli General Shimon Erem (retired) at the Jerusalem Prayer Banquet to be held May 14.
Rev. Robert Stearns of Eagles’ Wings, legendary entertainer Pat Boone, and pastor Frederick K.C. Price founder of Ever Increasing Faith Ministries, will host the event.
Sponsors and supporters include Pat Robertson, Robert Morris, Matthew Barnett, Jim Tolle, Kenneth Ulmer, Glenn Burris, Che Ahn and many more leaders. Special guests from Israel will include Consul General to the Southwest, Ambassador Jacob Dayan, Commissioner of Tourism to North America, Arie Sommer and others.
A highlight of the event this year will be the establishment of scholarships in the names of Hayford and Erem, which will be used to send the best and brightest Christian students to Israel on the Israel Experience College Scholarship Program.
Each year this unique program trains young leaders from 60 campuses across America including Harvard, NYU, George Washington, Pepperdine and other top schools, giving them an educated heart for Israel so they can fight anti-Semitism and defend Judeo Christian world view on campus. Many graduates of the program have gone into influential positions in the fields of government, education, media, business and public policy.
The Jerusalem Prayer Banquet takes place each year alternating between the East and West coasts of the United States. The event celebrates the anniversary of the reunification of the city of Jerusalem with the rest of Israel in 1967. This gathering has become a premier meeting of Christian and Jewish leaders that provides dialogue between the communities and promotes shared values.
Tickets for the event can be purchased online at www.jerusalemprayerbanquet.com or by calling 1-800-519-4647.
