An Ultra-Orthodox Jewish man from the Rachmistrivka congregation distributes fruit during celebrations for Tu B’Shevat, The Jewish Arbor day, in Jerusalem, Tuesday. It is a minor holiday that happens on the 15th day of the Jewish month Shevat, and it marks the beginning of a “New Year of Trees.” This is the season in which Israel’s earliest-blooming trees awake from their winter sleep and begin a new fruit-bearing cycle.
