Protesters Risk Lives in Demonstrations Against Syrian President

Protesters have been risking their lives daily to participate in demonstrations against the Syrian president’s rule. According to France 24, the United Nations estimates that more than 5,000 people have died in the nine months of unrest, most at the hands of Assad’s troops.
