Trump Plans Faith Office Revival if Elected
Former President Donald Trump declared during Monday’s National Faith Summit in Powder Springs, Georgia, that he would reinstate the Faith Office he established during his first term as president.
Paula White-Cain, founder of the National Faith Advisory Board, asked Trump, “What happens in the second term, a faith office, what’s your administration look like?”
“First of all, we’re going to set that up, and we’ll be talking to you and all of the people that we just met, and anybody else that you think is appropriate well,” Trump said. “It’s important, and it’ll be directly into the Oval Office.”
“We have to save religion in this country. I mean, honestly, religion is under threat in this country, serious threat, and we can’t let that happen,” he added. “I really believe it’s sort of the fabric of our country. It’s the thing that holds our country together. We can’t, we can’t lose it. We’re not going to lose it.”

Last month, Trump’s campaign announced that former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Benjamin Carson, would serve as its National Faith Chairman.
“Kamala Harris and the radical left have waged war on America’s faith community since the day they took office. Her selection of Governor Tim Walz as her Vice-Presidential nominee solidifies their commitment to intensifying those efforts,” Trump said during the announcement. “Ben Carson, a man of unwavering faith, is the perfect person to work with leaders of the faith community on behalf of the campaign to promote the protection of religious freedom and prosperity in our country. Nobody was a bigger champion for the faith community than me, and I look forward to working with Ben Carson to fight back against Kamala Harris’ war on faith and making America great again in November.”

Carson said the United States must acknowledge that “we are One Nation Under God.”
“I’m honored to serve as his National Faith Chairman and will work diligently with the faith community to get him elected,” he added. “There is only one candidate in this race that has defended religious liberty and supported Americans of faith. That candidate is Donald J. Trump.”
Trump has also declared that he plans to create a task force combatting anti-Christian bias. “Its mission will be to investigate all forms of illegal discrimination, harassment, and persecution against Christians in America. And it’s taking place at a level that nobody can believe. We’re like a country from a different country. This is not America any more that we are living in,” he said, at the Washington, D.C., Faith and Freedom Coalition meeting.
Trump continued, “Never again will the federal government be used to target religious believers, Americans of faith–and that’s all it is. Americans of faith are not a threat to our country; Americans of faith are the soul of our country.”
Millions of Christians do not plan to vote this election cycle.
Explaining the reason behind their decision not to vote, 68% said they are simply uninterested in policies, researcher George Barna shared in a report. The second-greatest reason not to vote (57%) was a dislike of all major candidates. Half of those not expecting to cast their vote said it was because elections have become too controversial.
