BREAKING NEWS: Trump Is ‘Safe’ After Shots Fired in His Vicinity
Former President Donald Trump’s campaign alerted Americans in a statement that he is safe after gunshots were fired in the vicinity of Trump International Golf Club, located in West Palm Beach, Florida.
“President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details at this time,” Trump campaign communications director Steven Cheung said in a statement, according to Fox News.

The Associated Press reported that Secret Service agents “opened fire after seeing a person with a firearm” near the golf club. It was further noted by the outlet that the person left in an SUV and was “later apprehended in a nearby county.”
The Secret Service’s Anthony Guglielmi wrote on X that the Secret Service and Palm Beach County were investigating the situation.
“The Secret Service, in conjunction with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating a protective incident involving former President Donald Trump that occurred shortly before 2 p.m. The former president is safe.”
Guglielmi also gave the update that a media briefing will be held by Palm Beach and Secret Service officials to give more details on the situation.
