Rick Joyner, founder of MorningStar Ministries, released a lengthy statement following the exit of CEO and president, Chris Reed. Reed resigned on Monday, Aug. 26.
“Chris Reed has resigned as president and CEO of MorningStar Ministries. This resignation may seem bizarre and confusing to those who have followed it, and I hope to clear some things up,” Joyner writes.

Brian Houston’s New Online Church Is Here
Brian Houston, the founder of Hillsong who resigned after disclosing misconduct that happened with two women, has finally launched his new online church.
Back in November of 2023 Houston posted on X that he and his wife, Bobbie, were going to begin the next chapter in their ministry journey.
“Bobbie and I are starting a weekly online ministry and church in 2024. I’m excited about building this new community,” Houston wrote.
Breaking News: Chris Reed Resigns From MorningStar Ministries
Chris Reed has stepped away from MorningStar Ministries.
Reed, who has served as both the CEO and the president of MorningStar, turned in his resignation on Monday, Aug. 26, and is now handing the ministry back over to Rick Joyner.
In a statement posted on X, Chris Reed shared how difficult the decision was for him to step away from MorningStar.
Demonic 90-Foot Monkey Casts a Shadow Over Texas
A statue of a Hindu god has been unveiled in Sugar Land, Texas, near Houston.
The “Statue of Union” was released on August 18 at the Sri Ashtalakshmi Hindu Temple.
According to the statue’s website, the statue is 89.7 feet tall, the third-tallest statue in the United States. It depicts the god Lord Hanuman, a representation of “strength, devotion and selfless service.”
Gateway Church Ousts Another Pastor for a ‘Moral Issue’
Gateway Church is making headlines again after they let go of executive pastor Kemtal Glasgow due to a “moral issue.”
In an update to the Gateway community, elder Tra Willbanks gave the news about Glasgow’s exit from church leadership.
“As of Monday this week, Kemtal Glasgow is no longer employed at Gateway,” Willbanks said. “We were informed last week of a moral issue, which we believe as elders disqualifies him from serving in the role that he had at Gateway.”
