Robot Crowned in Historic Pageant
The definition of beauty has been forever altered.
The latest beauty pageant winner is not female, and not even a man disguised as a woman. This time, the fairest in all the land is a robot.
Yes, that’s right; a robot has taken the crown for its beauty.
As CNN reported, the world’s first ever artificial intelligent beauty pageant commenced and crowned Kenza Layli, the “Moroccan lifestyle influencer who hopes to bring ‘diversity and inclusivity’ to the AI creator landscape.”
The robot beauty queen not only wants to make a difference in the virtual world, but Layli desires to make sure “everyone has a seat at the table of technological progress.”
The images of Layli very eerily look like a real human being. In fact, Layli has 204,000 Instagram followers. Those are real people who are choosing to follow a robot.

CNN noted that the robot contestants were judged on looks, and “their creators’ use of AI tools, as well as their social media influence.”
When conservative commentator Matt Walsh set out to ask the question, “What is a woman?” it was hard to fathom that people didn’t know the answer. In a world that is constantly telling us that men can be women and women can be men, perhaps the new concern isn’t only discerning biological men and women a part from one another, but discerning what is human and non-human.
As technology continues to advance at an incredible pace, let’s not fall into fear or deception, but stay focused firstly on Christ and the wisdom that our relationship with Him provides in all circumstances.
