Were Ariana Grande and TD Jakes Really Mentioned in the Same Prophetic Word?
It isn’t often that you’ll hear the names Ariana Grande and T.D. Jakes mentioned together by a prophet, but recently Troy Black received a prophetic word that included both the secular pop star and the long-time kingdom preacher.
Concerning Grande, Black says the Lord told him that the flamboyant singer “is not too far gone. With Jakes, he has a warning to those who listen and follow the senior pastor of the Potter’s House, a nondenominational megachurch in Dallas, Texas.
The prophetic dream, Black says, “woke me up in the middle of the night.”
Grande’s secular popularity is off the charts, and much of that is due to the sexual lyrics of her songs. Popcrush.com reported that her four-album, 80-plus song discography is packed with sexual references that range from subtle, cheeky nods to “Urban Dictionary-grade explicit. She’s as sex-positive as a pop star can come,” and her videos are often filled with sexually explicit material.
Yet Black says while Grande seems “too far gone” to come to Jesus, the Lord recently told him she’s not.
“I heard the Lord say this is what He wants to happen,” Black says. “I’m not saying that’s what’s going to happen. God said, ‘She’s Mine; I have her resting in My hand. And she will come back, even if it takes a lifetime of servanthood to the world to see the difference between My goodness and the world’s goodness.’
“‘She has a free choice, but I’m calling her and reaching out to her,'” the Lord said, per Black. “The Holy Spirit is saying to a lot of you, ‘I’m calling out to you and reaching out to you. But no one is going to make the decision for her. It is her own to make.’ God won’t force her hand to make a change in her life.
“God loves every single person, as it says in 2 Peter 3:9: ‘The Lord is not slow concerning His promise, as some count slowness. But He is patient with us, because He does not want any to perish, but all to come to repentance,'” Black says. “Are you willing to come home? He is willing to have you if you will come. Rest in the Father’s house, where it is safe.”
In the same video message, Black strangely calls out Jakes and his followers. Jakes has 7.1 followers on Facebook, 4.6 million on X and 2.67 million on YouTube.
“There are a few of you people out there listening here who either attend T.D. Jakes’ church or you listen to him online,” Black says. “Although you hear the messages, you have yet to make the relationship real.
“The Lord says, ‘You have yet to come home to a real friendship with Jesus,'” Black says. “It is just religion and a game right now. The Lord is saying, ‘Come home to Me, My son; come home to Me, My daughter. Now is your chance. Now is your time. If that’s you, if you say, ‘Hey, that’s speaking right to me today, I want you to take this opportunity. Don’t waste time. Don’t throw it away. It is a rare and beautiful thing that God is giving you. He’s reaching out to you right now and saying, ‘I’m coming for you today, and I’m not going to let you go.’ … Make a decision right now to give your heart to Jesus.” {eoa}
