Chris Reed Shares 3 Things We Must Do to Prevent Prophetic Catastrophe
In an exclusive interview with Charisma News, prophetic voice and pastor Chris Reed shares three vital things Americans must do if we want to prevent catastrophe from coming to our land.
During a recent dream, Reed saw a coming destruction and transformation of our nation as we know it through the overtake of terrorism coming up from the southern border. He says that just as this happened in Israel, it will also come to our country. However, in the same way Jonah’s prophetic warning led the people of Nineveh to repent and turn toward God, Reed believes we are in a critical moment where God is allowing us to take actionable steps to prevent our downfall and shift our eyes back to Jesus.
“One of the first things obviously we can do, is we can pray against this,” Reed says. “But that’s not the only thing.”
Reed warns that just as faith without works is dead, so too is prayer without taking action. This is what leads him to a very valuable second point that every person in America can do.
“The second thing that I knew that we could do, is as if we got everybody—if we got everybody, everywhere—to call their U.S. representatives, their senators and demand that Congress take action on the border,” Reed said.
Reed believes this step of reaching out to the government is key if we want to secure the border from the terrorism that his prophetic dream showed him would come from this entryway into America.
“It’s ironic by the way, that President Biden is actually having some of the wall built now,” he says. “They cannot ignore this. Even the liberal media is turning against him in many ways because of the economy and this unsustainable southern border thing. And here’s the other thin: Just like this attack came from the southern border in Israel, these terrorists have come through our U.S. southern border.”
The third thing that Reed says is necessary for the protection and preservation of our nation is to grow in our awareness of potential attacks that could come. He doesn’t advocate for living a life of fear, but for walking in preparation in times of true trouble.
“Third, developing, even bringing training into your churches of situation awareness,” Reed said. “Knowing what to look for. Not getting in suspicion or fear. There’s a difference between preparedness and being in fear.”
While this message doesn’t fall into many people’s comfort zones of “prophetic positivity,” its stark warning allows for God’s people to reevaluate how we are living, the steps toward prayer and repentance that are needed and how we can practically move forward, led by the power of the Holy Spirit. {eoa}
